This is a pretty decent cinema. Around 90% of the staff are really friendly and overall it has a good vibe. The only thing that let's it down slightly is the people who visit the cinema. Some people just can't help themselves but cause disruption by talking or shining their mobile torches around. I get it when the adverts are on but when the film starts just shut up! Or if you can't help but talk at least whisper. So, how does this affect the cinema as a business? Well I've suggested a few times now that they have members of staff, periodically going into the screens checking for nuisance customers, but nothing has changed. The other issue is putting a loud action film with all the rumblings next to a screen showing a quiet drama. This is either due to the poor sound proofing or there hasn't been a sound check. It's highly off putting to watch a drama when the walls a shaking and rattling the equipment. I've also raised this with Odeon, but nothing has changed. If only they gave the option to put your own headphones on.
Nice venue, screens are quite high quality. Premium seating in some screens is placed further back than I would want to sit so you can pay regular prices for great seats. Confectionary selection was great, ice cream and normal cinema selection as well.

A lively, cozy, quaint little place, where your kids will beg you to return.
Had a children's party here which was great fun. Kids loved it and the cast were fantastic. Good fun! Entertainer from the cast was great and managed to handle 26 kids!

Really nice children's theatre. Box office staff are always really approachable and friendly. Small, enclosed outside area for children to play. Also a lovely book collection, cushions etc for children to read and play before show starts. There is a cafe which I haven't used as of yet. Walking distance from South Wimbledon station.
I've been taking my kids to Polka for 8 years or so. The winter play has become a staple of Christmas. The staff if wonderful, and they must be happy since there is very little turn-over; I've known some of them for years. The plays are well classified by age, and generally great. There is one small theatre for tots, and a big one for older children. Obviously there will be something you don't particularly like, but that doesn't detract from the theatre. The playground is small but great. The bathrooms are okay; they could be bigger and better but space is at a premium. The only bit I don't like is the café, whose quality doesn't match the rest of the theatre in my opinion. Anyway, my family loves Polka to bits, and we usually buy tickets for the entire season. I used to live just next to it; I moved to the countryside, one hour away, but we still go to the theatre 4-5 a year.
