Local Bookshops

Waterstones

40/42 The Broadway, Wimbledon, London SW19 1RQ, UK – 020 3544 6720

Helpful staff, happy to match their online prices and whilst a bit more than the big A it's worth it to support a high street bookstore!

Quite small which inevitably limits choice. Books mainly at list price. Unbeatable for last minute purchases.

Wimbledon Books

40 High Street Wimbledon, Wimbledon, London SW19 5AU, UK – 020 8879 3101

Wonderful experience. Super friendly and helpful. Went in there to find some books for some godchildren. Girls and boys aged 3 to 8. Wonderfully helpful staff picked out three and all were very well received.

A wonderful bookshop that reminds you of how necessary it is to preserve our independent bookshops and avoid the mass market chains. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the selection of titles always varied and interesting, The shop positively encourages customers to lounge and browse, with two very comfortable armchairs to use while passing a pleasant half an hour dipping into books before making a purchase. It is shops like these that make Wimbledon such a wonderful place to live in!

WHSmith

1B, The Tandem Centre Tandem Way, London, Wimbledon SW19 2TY, UK – 020 8640 4592

A very quite but friendly and well stocked store. Great for school children

A good Smith's with a decent range of basics
